Caravan workshop of new technologies in Digital Photogrammetry and Remote sensing will be hosted by Vietnam Association of geodesy, cartography and remote sensing on 11 – 12 Jan, 2008 at Cartography Publishing House. All lectures of worshop are presented by famous leading professors of digital image and remote sensing:
– Prof. Shunji Murai – Japan with two presentations:
(1) Applications of RS & GIS for Disaster Management
(2) JICA Distance Education on RS&GIS for Developing Countries
– Prof. Armin Gruen – Switzerland with two presentations:
(1) 3D Mapping with Highresolution Satellite Imagery
(2) Image-based 3D Modeling for Natural and Cultural Heritage Objects
– Prof. Clive Fraser – Australia with two presentations:
(1) Modern Close-Range Photogrammetry and Applications
(2) 3D Information Extraction from Single Satellite Images via Monoplotting
– Dr.-Ing. Achim Hellmeier – Germany with two presentations:
(1) New concepts for high resolution aerial cameras
(2) 3D City and landscape models
At that time, all professors will work and exchange with some Vietnam offices such as: Department of Survey and Mapping, Aerial Photo Topography Company, University of Mining and Geology, etc… This cooperation will promote technology of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote sensing of Vietnam to approach the advance development in the world
